Rongoā Māori mirimiri and romiromi is part of the traditional Māori healing system. Jean has a special interest in this rongoā due to the transformational experience mirimiri can provide clients.
With the addition of precious kōhatu (stones), such as pounamu, Jean can target specific haemata (trigger points) where deeply held stress or trauma is being held in the body. Obsidian stones are often used in mirimiri for whakawaka (clearing). Karakia (prayer), as well as wai tai (seawater) is used for spiritual hygiene. Rākau (sticks) may be used for additional support to target trigger points.
